Dr. Evelyn Metoyer-Williams is a distinguished educator, mentor, and longstanding leader within the Association of Pan-African Doctoral Scholars (APADS). A graduate of Novia Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with a doctoral degree in Early Childhood Education, Dr. Metoyer-Williams has dedicated her career to advancing educational equity, scholarly excellence, and community-centered mentorship.
A Past President of APADS and now serving as President Emeritus, she has been instrumental in shaping the organization’s legacy as a trusted support system for Pan-African doctoral scholars across generations. Her commitment to mentorship spans more than four decades, during which she has guided and supported countless doctoral candidates through the complexities of the doctoral journey.
Dr. Metoyer-Williams is widely recognized for her unwavering dedication to academic achievement, her nurturing approach to scholar development, and her sustained contributions as both a mentor and donor to APADS. Her work reflects a deep belief in collective advancement, the power of education, and the importance of lifting others as they rise.
