Did You Know? APADS’s First Colloquium was in 2004 at USC

One of the major highlights of Dr. Stanley Viltz’s APADS presidency (2004-2006) was the presentation of APADS, Inc.’s first colloquium. The event was held at USC’s Religious Center on June 26, 2004.

Some APADS Associates had completed and receive their degrees but still participated in the colloquium. A total of 5 APADS Associates made presentations:

· Juanita Coleman-Merritt

· Typhanye Penniman

· Gina Raymond-Embry (completed)

· Linda Petteway

· Anthony Samad

· Scarlet Small

The presentations were critiqued with members giving suggestions for needed improvements and possible responses to committee members’ questions. These Associates were successful in completing their qualifying exams and followed various pathways upon receiving their degrees.
